Saw onc dr, start the chemo on Wednesday
Ron and I went to the drs yesterday to set up the chemo schedule. He said all my bloodwork looks good just a little anemia and will keep taking iron for that. He was going to start in 2 wks but we begged him to let me start this week for Ron to have more time for insurance and family leave, so Wed we will go in for the taxotere and he has me taking dexamethasone on Tuesday and Wednesday so wonder if I will be wired for sound by Wed am?? then I come back on Thursday for the Neulasta shot. He told me that some drs do not do the Taxotere but he has seen good results from it and I want to do something esp with the bad node after surgery. So time to get my Big Girl Panties out. He went over the side effects which are scary to say the least but at least I don't have to be in the hospital like my last chemo. Will be glad to get it done, 21 days between the three treatments think I should be gettng done sometime around Easter. I still did not gain weight but at least did not lose, getting tired of the j tube but just have to accept it. Don't know what my weight would be if I wasnt' getting the night feedings. Hope all are doing good and praying for all.

DONNA,
sounds like you need a new pair of BGP to go through this. I wish you luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Hi Donna,
I'm glad to hear that you are getting ready for the post op chemo. My motto is the sooner the better.
Don't worry you will do fine!!! and the feeding tube I know it's a pain but I would keep it for a while longer with the chemo and all.
God BLess,

Hi,
Thanks everyone for the good wishes and thoughts and prayers, they keep me going. I have less pain but boy those rib incisions are just terrible, the dr did not take away my oxycodone yet, I just take it one or two times a day esp at night and even said that they had spread my ribs apart and broke one that is why I have that pain. But boy we want to get this chemo and a good scan behind us, hopefully and go on some kind of celebration trip when I am back up to par or even halfway there!!!! I pray for all of you at night before I go to sleep, I am in my recliner down in the family room with my trusty old feeding pump and think of all and hoping for good results for everyone. thanks again, love this board and the wonderful people on it.
