Pain on back
There are some major muscles there....I was also in pain around that area.... after awhile you start to compensate with the way you walk, sit and stand. I went to a chiropractor, two visits and it was gone......you may want to start there. Do you find yourself pushing on that area like if you were surrounding your hips with your hands and squeezing because it feels good? Really ;-)0 -

I think it is entirely reasonable that every ache and pain becomes possible cancer. Once you have heard the cancer word once, it is sooo easy to anticipate it and suppose every twitch must be a reoccurence.
I don't have any answers....i think people who are five or even ten years out would tell you they still have fears and scanxiety....not easy to let it go. Maybe as we creep further from the beast the fears calm down. You just had a clear ct scan honey....surely that counts for lots!!!!!

PFM
Cancer scares the hell out of us normal folks. Anyone that does not get a little paranoid about strange and new pains is not normal. When you are ned, I think we get a little more paranoid. I have had all kinds of strange side effects.
I have gone to my primary doc with these problems. He does nothing and then they just go away. I now refer to him as my PFM doc. PFM stands for “pure freaking magic”.
I don’t know if you had chemo/rad, but my colon doc told me that radiation seems to attack us thin folks more then the heavy set folks.
I still have pain where my tendons cross my hip joints (ham strings). It is now about 16 months from when I had the chemo/rad. It is getting better with exercise. No pain no gain.0 -
pain in butt/hips
I don't know if this is related, but after chemo/radiation, I've developed pretty tight hips, and not in a good way.
I was already a little tight but it got much worse. I'm working on stretching EVERY DAY; I've always loved walking but now doing it with renewed enthusiasm, and started a Pilates class twice a week. (which left me quite sore)
congrats on the good scan.

You don't have a sit down job do you?????? I experienced the exact same tailbone issues. Hurt like hell. I had a sit down desk job for many years.........ALWAYS sat in the same position for hours on end......lol....literally. It shifted my coccyx bone to one side slightly....which is on the very tip of your tailbone. I saw a chiro for bout 8 visits and changed up my sitting habits to include a small stool to raise my feet. Did not even have CC then. Just a thought. Good luck to you!

I actually wondered if that could be it. I don't work, i stay at home with kids. But, when i am on the computer i am on an ottoman that might be the culprit. I have changed that over the last three days to see if it helps. It is a little better, but not gone. I will keep this up and see what happens.
I think this training of the mind not to worry is what i need to do. Trust my doc's and move on down the road. My body just seems foreign to me now, it is like getting to know it all over again---it feels old. Maybe that is what oxi does, i don't know.
Thanks for the replies guys...i appreciate it.0 -

I do not think there is any doubt that oxy kicks you in who knows how many ways. I like your observation that it is like getting to know your body all over again...I am 7 months out of oxy and can't say I ever really have a terrific day when I feel "normal"
however...I keep reading the obits and it would appear I am still alive if not normal..:)

I can echo Mags feeling I've been off oxy since Nov. & had my take down surgery at the end of Dec. I don't expect to feel any where close to normal for a while.0
