So far, so good.....
Found a "shadow" in my lung, which was later determined to be a radiation pneumonitis, and not a malignancy.
PET scan looked fine. Checked out fine with medical onc, although I will have a final CT scan in February to see if the scarring & damage from the rads is still the same.
Had my visit with rads onc & he says all looks good.
Had my visit with the surgeon and she gave me a clean bill of health.
What I'm trying to say is, aside from the lung scare and aside from the hyperthyroidism that I have developed in the last several months, there is NED!!
No cancer found from my jaw to my knees. So WOOHOO!!
It's been a long haul and I will still know that "the other shoe can drop" at any time, and I may have to do battle again. But for right now, in this moment, I am cancer-free!!
Hugs to all who have helped me along the way. I will be FOREVER grateful for your encouragement and your wisdom. Love you all!!
And to all of those who are new to this cancer business, you will all find the same undaunting, unfailing compassion and help here that I have, over the past 18 months.
Rest assured that you have come to the right place.

I thought I heard music playing!
And I know the music is your favorite song, isn't it? That NED~ he is so sweet, and the most gracious and skilled dancer! I love how he can glide us across the dance floor and tap so many of us on the shoulder. Just being in his presence makes us want to share his fancy footwork with any and all of us!
Dance, dance, dance~ and may it be a non-ending marathon! Congratulations! YAY YAY YAY

What wonderful news to hear especially for those of us who are still on the road waiting to get to where you are. Must have been times when the going was rough but you've came thru it all in fine shape. Best wishes to you and may your dance last forever. Celebrate!0 -

Oh sheesh!!
You have all brought tears to my eyes! I was happy and relieved when I realized that I had made it through, fought so hard and won...for now, and hopefully for always.
But you have brought home once again that we don't go through this alone. That we are all surrounded by loving and caring sisters (and brothers), who comfort us when we are sad, encourage us when we are tired, and cheer for us when we succeed.
Thank you all.........
