Can PET scan show less than 1 cm?

So my ct scan showed mets to both lungs but they are all less than 1 cm. My onc said that he really didn't think a pet scan would show much more information as pet scans do not pick up anything less than 1 cm. What do you all think? I see him on Friday to start new treatment.
Had a new port put in today. I'm still sore. But my nerves are much calmer today after I felt that God gave me a message yesterday that I still have years left to go. I really think that this is true and have been smiling today.

My hubby is Stage IV with mets to liver and lungs and he has never had a Pet scan. Our onc said everything he needed to know showed on the CT. I have read on the board that many do not get Pet scans so I would not worry about it. By the way, I read your bio, and the new chemo you are getting is what George is on now after completing 12 of Folfox, he is doing fine with it, and continues to improve. Take care - Tina0 -

Thanks Tina
I've been following your updates and so glad to hear of the progression of shrinkage. I am planning to continue to work as I did last year when I was on Folfox. I just hope I won't be as tired.
