Has anyone had the hot chemo wash in the belly? If so how did it go? I'm considering it but my onc says it doesn't work for colorectal cancer patients. I have ascities in the gut area and possible small tumors popping up in colon. Not sure but am having some bad cramping when digesting so onc thinks it's related. doing the Cdiff test on MOnday to rule out infection since I didn't have any cramping until last treatment of folfox with Avastin.
Thanks for any info. Jill

A few days ago Elizabeth (Lizbiz) posted about surgery she is going to have that included (if memory serves) the hot chemo bath. Look back a few days and you should find it. Perhaps she can shed more light on it for you.

And Brooks, go ahead, tell us about the "hot milk bath"....

    HIPEC
HIPEC - Heated Intraperitonial Chemoperfusion, used for abdominal tumors. After tumors removed, heated chemo solution is circulated in abdomen for up to 90 minutes then the solution is removed. Thats all I know about it. Google it. Lizbiz is getting it February 1st along with other major surgery stuff.

    Take care - Tina

    C-Diff
If you have C-diff you would know it from the smell. It has a bathroom smell you will just never forget. Our hosiptals are full of it.

I like the milk bath too!
Thank you for all you comments, funny ones too! So many with such a great sense of humor, makes me laugh... You guys are great! Anyway, I'll read back and watch out for liz to see how it goes. Happy January to everyone! It's 55* here in northern Ca but it feels like 30's. I'm glad I'm not back east! We just have to deal with earthquakes instead of snow!!!
