I haven't been online in awhile but I wonder if the discussion board has touched on the latest findings re vitamin d and pain reduction for those aromatase inhibitors (arimidex, femara, aromysin)? See article at: http://www.medpagetoday.com/MeetingCoverage/SABCS/17546
I plan on bringing the article to my endocrinologist in February as my D level is low.

Cynthia, if your vitamin D level is low (less than 30) you need to take daily supplement of Vitamin D3, The latest findings for prevention of BC recurrence it should be abound 50. Ask you oncologist for vitamin D test on regular basis every 3 months.

    vit d level
I do take supplements. I am currently taking 2000 IU of D3 per day. I see my endocrinologist before my oncologist, so I will ask her first. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis also. Thanks.

My vitamin D level is low
My vitamin D level is low from my Celiac as is my Magnesium. I am supposed to start Arimidex soon. Probably after I see my Medical Oncologist on the 20th of Jan. I'll be asking him a lot of questions on it because of my Celiac which one of the side affeacts I already have is Osteopena. Plus I take Acephex which also depletes your bone density, besideds Arimidex depleting it! SOOOO, I'll be asking a lot of questions. Maybe I'll need some more Vitamin D. Maybe some B-12 See, Celiac really messes with your nutrient absorption.

    That's what I'm taking 2
    That's what I'm taking 2 times a day D-3 which is Calcitrol.
