Diagnosed IBC Sept, stopped full chemo mid Nov (allergic)
Now:nasty cold
ear infection that wont quit
stomach aches
tired (of course)
nosebleeds (coumadin)
no appetite
short of breathnad other piddly stuff
I am suppposed to call in 2 hours for desensitization appointment this week.(ICU) I am allergic to taxotere (Cannot breathe) The desense dilutes the tax and tricks your body.
I know I need the chemo back to shrink the beast before surgery (4 treatments missed)
Who do I call and say I am sick? My onco,my cardio, the desnsitzation specialist, primary, or grin and bear it and call my Mom for some chicken soup!
Sorry to whine, I have not so far.
I have yet to miss work but found I just cannot go today,so I know I am sick.
what's from chemo or cancer or what, I do still take aromasin and heart stuff

    sorry
I am sorry that you are feeling bad i would call the cancer doctor the reason i say that is that when i was feeling bad i call my reg doctor and he told me that he was sorry but there was nothing he could do for me because i have cancer no and that my onc would know what meds for me to take with my chemo drugs and i had a light cold but when it comes to cancer nothing is light or small anymore.

Yes, call your oncol. You don't have to be sick in silence and he/she has to know so you can get the best care.

    get help now
You have cancer, you do not nor are you expected to have to grin and bear it. Call your onco asap. I would call him now and let his answering service get him or one of his staff to call you back pronto. THere are things that can be done to help you feel better, please do not take the high road here you need medical assistance and they need to get it to you. Your work can wait it will be there no matter what and I am pretty sure they will get someone to take care of it. There is only one you and that is your priority to take care of you. I hope you feel better soon, please let us know how this goes.

    Hugs,

    Absolutely call your
Absolutely call your oncologist! Your primary care physician would be rather out of that loop right now (and and would check with your oncoligist anyway) of course you have no need to consult a surgeon~ and unless you find yourself in the ER ( I hope not!) your Cancer Team is where you should be getting advice from! At this point they have all of your charts, know your meds, and have no doubt heard of all of the adverse :-( reactions you are experiencing.

I am so sorry that this leg of your journey is laced with potholes...please let your team know so that they can intervene and help you to cope and feel better!!!

    Hugs,

thnx all onco nurse says go ahead w/desensitization
HOWEVER, at 2 pm they said,we'll likley have you in at 10 tonight! I was surprised, and said I need to know for rides, meds etc. They would call back if they could get an ICU room.
Last I heard! Sinceitis now 930 I guess not tonight!
    Cold pills are helping
I forced myslef to eatand rink 10 glasses of liquids so stomach is better.
I played ear Dr and feel the pain is still wax so 2 meds, amd mow I can hear, but still have issues.
blood was not too bad, no coumadin for today.nosebleeds are better likely due to humidifier added to my room.
2 guys will get my work done for me I May be there tomorrow
so thanks for the help and allowing the whining
    off to tv land
    peace
