so sorry
I am new to this site but my husband also has stage four cancer, I just read your post and have been following your story. I am so sorry about the passing of your husband and hope he went peacefully and glad that you were at his side. This cancer is a terrible thing and us, as their spouses, go through alot with them. I hope you can find some comfort knowing he is at peace now. Linda0 -

angel beneath our wings
Chris,
I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing, you did everything you possibly could do, caregivers have the hardest job of all in my opinion. I know he was the one you loved after waiting for the special one to come along, he has a special place in heaven with "wildgoose, Kitten0385, and Roy" with the EC hereos just know it was his time to go home to our LORD, this was not a good time to go, as years come you won't like Christmas, I know I dont due to the fact that my father was sick every year at Christmas until he passed, I just soon take December out of the calendar for that reason. Please know all your friends on this CSN site are here for your help. We are all your cyber friends and will continue to be.
Love and hugs

Chris---our feelings of sorrow won't match your loss...
Chris---I have been so touched by your love for Steve and your true emotion that you have shared on this site. We have all been rooting for you and Steve all along--I will never get used to this disease taking one of "our own"....
Like someone wise above said---don't second guess your self--you did your all! I also got the feeling that Steve did not want to go on a long time if there was no quality of life. I am glad one of your last times with him was joking and filled with hope. God won't give you more than you can handle---even when we really don't believe it at the time...
My sadness at reading your post can not compare to yours---but know that if we can lessen your grief in any way---we will.
(bigger hugs back to you!)

I am really sorry...
You have been such a rock through this--though you have felt overwelmed, and you loved him totally. I have been striving to be more like you, and totally love my sweet husband. I'm grateful to you for all you've taught me.
I will be praying for you--and I hope that you will continue to check in with us now and again.

Are you saying that "Wildgoose7" passed away? I have tried looking at past posts and I couldn't find any info on this. If this is true, I am very sad to hear this news.

Chris,
I'm so very sorry to hear about Steve. You both put up such a fight and I'm so happy to hear that you left him joking and ready to continue with this battle. I know this is such a horrible time of the year for Steve to go. I too am not fond of December. My dad was diagnosed in 12/08 and we are starting this battle all over again, 1 year later. Christmas will forever be tarnished for me. Anyway, this is about you and not me. You will remain in my prayers. Stay strong and know that Steve went home knowing that you loved him and didn't give up on him. Try to stay strong and know we are all here for you.
Hugs and all my best wishes!!!
