Again...can't thank everyone enough for the advise, support and prayers. Past few days have all been the same. Sleep 2 hours...get up pee...do my mouth rinsing...go back to sleep. LOL pain is about a 5 but constant. Gets annoying but just think about how bad it could be if not for everyone on here. I think of every constantly because would not be in this condition if not for you. I don't really have any mouth sores. Still drink about 100 oz's of water a day. Got a shake down yesterday and today. Voice to a whisper and as Mike said...do a lot of head shaking. LOL. 4 more rads and final Chemo on tuesday. I Little nervous about it because I know it will knock me around for about a week or so but I am ready. I just hope Friday (xmas)is ok. I have family in and would like to have a fun day or atleast part of the day. Again thanks to all all I can say is I look forward to passing on the knowledge and support to others that you have given me.

Kurt

    Dig in Kurt!
Kurt, you are almost done! Look at how much you have put behind you so far! The road ahead is now so much shorter than the road behind. Throughout my life and from my experience with my cancer treatment I have learned something. We are all stronger than we think we are. I read your posts and from them I have gathered that you are staying in the right place in your head although you will agree, as will others about just how hard this treatment is, it sounds like you are doing well. Like you said, one more week and it will get better. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and I'm sure you will all have a great day. As I said before, count your blessings.

HI Kurt, I read your post, I remember those days very well. I tried to laugh it off as well, like it was a surreal experience. Your frame of mind seems fine to me. You will make it. I amazed at how much we can tolerate as humans. The 10 days after treatment were the most difficult. Then, you heal very fast. Peace and happy holidays. Alex.

    You'll make it!
Hey Kurt, you're heading down to the wire. You'll cross the finish line real soon.
Last year at Thanksgiving, I was about where you are today. I went to my cousin's house for dinner. She didn't make enough gravy -- which I desperately needed to help the turkey slide down -- so I got no gravy and ate very little but mashed potatoes.
Fast-forward to one year later. I went to my cousin's house again, and I ate whatever I wanted, drank whatever I wanted and had no problem at all.
Hang in there. Life will get better.

You're almost done with it all, Kurt. We've all been there, and made it- so will you. You've got the end of treatment in sight, and there ain't nothing that's gonna get in your way to making it to the finish line. Believe you can deal with anything the Doc's give you to cope with, and you will be able to deal with it all right. If, anything gets a bit much-tell the Drs. They are there to help. Battle's almost won, Kurt. You know you can win it.

    Believe.

    Last Rad Kurt!
Last Rad today! Don't walk out of there with head your down. Hold it high Kurt! This is not an acomplishment that you put in a resume but one you carry in your heart. Same with the chemo. I will be thinking of you and your family this holiday. Make it a good one. Keep posting.

I know it's tough. As we all
I know it's tough. As we all do:) But you will do it too. It won't be long now, and Spring will be here, and you'll be feeling fine again. It's just this little hump you have to get over. Have a Happy Xmas and the New Year will be even better!
