I just looked at Brant's Caring Bridge page and learned that he passed away early this morning.

I hope I'm not acting inappropriately by posting this here, but so many semi-colons already have the Caring Bridge link...

My heart goes out to Melissa and Will. I hope we can be of some comfort to them.

    Geoffrey Brant Walton passed away peacefully at 3:35am on Thursday, December 17, 2009 with the support, blessings, and love of his family. The most caring husband, devoted father, exceptional son, dedicated physician, and remarkable human being the world has ever seen, Brant will be sorely missed and eternally remembered by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

    I am so sorry to hear of Brant's passing. I have followed his care bridge site for several months and had so hoped that his New York treatments would be successful, unfortunately, that was not to be, and he took a drastic turn for the worse in just a few short days after coming home. I just don't understand why someone who himself was a physician, so young and vibrant just never caught a break with this monster. Rest in peace Brant, no more needles, scans, poison or radiation. My heart and sympathies go out to Melissa and Will. Melissa was so strong for her husband, and such a wonderful caregiver, may she find peace that Brant is no longer in pain. Tina

    I was thinking of Brant and Melissa and William all night. This is so heartbreaking. Lots of love and care to Melissa and William and their family, and lots of love and care to all here. I appreciate how we all hang together in the joy and the sadness that's all wrapped up in living.

    I can hardly hold back the tears as I write this. I am so sadden to hear this, I just pray that his family will be okay. Thanks for posting Adrian!

    Thanks Adrian for posting this. Melissa- my heart aches for you and your little guy. It hits so close to home since everyone on this board is in the same fight for our lives.
    I pray for you, your son, and the rest of your extended family to be comforted during this time of grieving.

    Yeah, I checked the caringbridge site a little while ago, and it made me so sad to read that news. What I read on that site told the story of a lovely little family that faced a tough situation with courage and beauty.

    Let's all make renewed vows to cherish each moment, okay?

    I am just heartbroken for this beautiful family.

    Melissa,
    I am holding you and Will in prayer. I know you will be surrounded by wonderful friends and family during this time and in the years to come. Will will have so many stories about Brant, he was obviously an amazing father, husband, friend, son....
