Hi Shortscake
I would think you wouldn't want neither if given the choice! How wonderful though that you went out into the world despite all that & did something you seem to enjoy! Good for you!(At least you weren't smoking! It really bothers me when I see someone hauling around an oxygen tank and they are puffing away on a cigarette!) How are you doing on the Chemo otherwise?

chemo is going well, i never get sick from it just makes me tired on the 2and3day, something i can deal with. how are things going for you? i was never a smoker they are saying that some of my bc moved to my lungs but they are not calling it lung cancer because chemo is to kill it.0 -
Good for you, Shortscake.
Good for you, Shortscake. You can't stop living just because of the bc or the oxygen. My mother was on oxygen for years and she did everything with hers. She even took a rehab class at the hospital and actually exercised with it on. Hopefully, yours is just temporary and once you're through your treatments you can also turn in the oxygen. Sending positive thoughts your way for successful treatments. Take care and you go girl!!0 -

Don't worry or care what others think. Just do what you have to do for you. Glad you got out shopping!

How you look
If/when I encounter someone out shopping who looks like you, with encumbrances like an O2 bottle, or walker, I think, "What a brave soul to struggle through God-knows-what to get to this mall/store when all I did was hop into a car, drive here, park, walk through the lot to the entrance. I am grateful for my blessings. Please bless her." Perhaps, without even trying, you inspired someone else to be grateful for their blessings and received some in turn.
I thank God you're alive and fighting!0 -

It is very brave and heroic and you should be proud of yourself.
Please do not care what other people think or how they look. Being out while on treatment is a cancer surveyor way of celebrating life and fighting disease .
I am sending you a big hug0 -

Applauding you Shortscake. Imagine you did get a lot of looks, maybe some were thinking that you must be real sick but others may have been admiring you for getting out and doing your thing. Sounds like you're a very strong woman and glad to hear your chemo is going well. Keep on til you get to the finish line.0 -

Glad to hear that you are handling the Chemo so well! Things are good here with me. Thank you for asking. Still a little sore from surgery, but healing really well. I go back to the Onc. the 23rd to discuss Radiation & Herceptin. Onto the next step....I'm so sorry to hear about your lungs. I will pray for you that the Chemo will indeed slay that beast as well!
Take Care

oxygen
I am also on oxygen. Just a thought, I have a D tank with an on demand regulator that I carry in a backpack. Leaves both hands free and easier to maneuver. I wear it at work--I'm a nurse.
