Dad had a great week, and I just had to share it with you!

Hello Everyone,
I am just so happy for my dad. For months, maybe even a year, my dad has been unhappy and depressed because of his EC. Of course, who isn't? He would sit around all day, napping, eating small things here and there, get in his pjs early, and be in bed by 7 pm. I would come to see him and there he would be curled up in the fetal position, sometimes crying, feeling so bad. It would of course make me feel bad too! But, I had to keep up my positive attitude. I patted him on his back, talked to him for awhile, read him some of your stories that I had printed for him, he started to come around and feel better.
Well....ever since he had his dilation on Monday 12/7, and the dr. told him she did not see any cancer in his esophagus, he has become a new person!! I went to see him on Tuesday evening, he was awake, still dressed in his jeans, not his pjs, told me he had a pretty good day...which he has not told me in a year, and....he felt good enough to put up the Christmas tree!! Well.....Praise the Lord!! Woo Hoo!!
That has made my week, that is for sure. I just thought you all would appreciate this too. It is great to be able to share a good story every once in awhile too.
We thank you all for your continued prayers and support. The same continues for all of you.
Sincerely,
Tina

THAT IS SO WONDERFUL!unknown said:This comment has been removed by the Moderator
I know how easy it is to get depressed ...I will be fine then just burst into tears. It's really really difficult. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? My husband is alive NOW and well NOW and so is your dad, and I try so hard to focus on THAT. But it is hard, I know. And for the patient it must be even worse.
What wonderful news. Always good to hear such things.
Thanks for sharing,
