Kim's dad surgery now 12/7

Thanks for all the support on this site. we all are in a tough spot, from different parts of the country, different perspectives, different roles (caregiver, family member, etc).

My dad's surgery is now Monday 12/7 at Duke. I will be there with my mom and my brother and sister will be there at least by the evening. We are coming from different states so it will be a challenge. We are worried but hope that his overall great health before diagnosis will help him.

I will try to update as I can. I also have many others on this site in my prayers nightly. For all of those struggling---take it one day at a time---if that doesn't work, take it one hour at a time.... you will make it.

    TAKE YOUR BIG GIRL PANTIES
    Kim,

    Be sure and take your big girl panties with you as you will need them to get through everything. Is your Dad having the open surgery or the invasive surgery. Just remember we all have been there and know what you are going through. I will pray for you during his surgery. Please know he is in the hands of GOD and GOD will get him through everything.

    We lost another loved one on this site, so we need to continue prayers.

    I am sure he will be in the best of hands. My prayers will be with you. My dad will have his balloon procedure to his esophagus tomorrow at UVA. Keep us posted.

    Just wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you and your family tomarrow.
    You have been waiting for this day to come and it is finally here!! Please let us know
    as soon as you can how everything goes. You know how we try an patiently wait for the out come
    of someones surgery.

    I'm so glad your dad's surgery was moved up a day!!! Great news!!! I'm glad it's over and today is a new day and he's closer to recovery!!! I'm so happy for you. Please keep us updated. You guys finally made it to the big day and now it's a day behind you!!!!
