Travel
With no kids in the house anymore, George and I have done some traveling the last 4 years. Since he got colon cancer, we have put travel on a definite hold, didn't know how much out of pocket we would have to pay for medical. So, if money were no object, I would like a 1 week trip somewhere warm (maybe Florida Keys or Mexico) and while we are gone, have someone come in and paint the condo and for confused1's husband to find his way back to her heart.0 -

Now that would kill your cancer quicker than chemo!!!!
Thanks for the laugh and "locker room memories". I lived in Wash. DC in the early 90s and one Monday Night Football game after a Cowboys game that the Redskins won I was watching the news while the film crew doing was doing interviews in the joyous locker room. Apparently the light on the camera signalling that it was filming was burnt out so needless to say there was some footage shown of a few naked football players walking around behind players being interviewed. It was surreal and really caused a ruckous in DC the next few days.
The funniest part of it was being at work the next day and those that saw it talking about it all............will share more about those conversations when I meet you in person!!!!!!

I feel like a kid doing this, but of course there was no internet to post on when I was a kid.
It looks like we've got world peace and ending the wars covered, so I don't need to ask for that.
I'd really like someone to pay off my mortgage, but seeing as that's not very likely, a laptop would be really handy. I'm using John's here at the hospital, but he's a PC guy and I'm a Mac guy...
Aside from that, I wish I had more money to spend on my little 2-year-old niece for her birthday in a few weeks and for Christmas. She's amazing and I love her to death.
I know Buzzard already said something about NED, but I'd just like to add to it and say that I want John and everyone else on this board to become those people who experience "spontaneous remission" just, zip! no more cancer! It does happen. My parents have a friend who had terminal brain cancer - his doctors said it couldn't possibly have been worse, and suggested he had between 3 - 6 months to live and there was no way to treat it. Then, for no medically explainable reason, it just disappeared one day. Now it's more than 10 years later, and he's fine. go figure. I want that for everyone on here.
And if Donna brings breakfast in bed to Buzzard, I'd happily bring Donna breakfast in bed to keep it going, only I don't think I'd be as much of a threat to her spouse ;-)
Fun thread - Thanks!
And I will bring you breakfast in bed to keep it going and will not be a threat to your spouse either............

Can you have it shipped to you?PGLGreg said:cherry wine
I'm trying to engineer some cherry wine from Michigan from my in-laws, who live there. It's not a fortune involved -- around $8/bottle -- but the small wineries in Michigan can't deal with Hawaii's restrictions on importation of wine, so I can't order any, myself. Why do I want cherry wine? I don't really know. I've never had any. It sounds good.
If so Greg, I'll get and send you some............
That sounds like it's easy and would be fun to hear what you think of it when you taste it.

It's very nice of you to offer. I do think that my wife's sister, who lives in Pinkney, will come through for me, and I'll let you know how I like Michigan cherry wine a bit after Christmas.

All i want is for my marriage to work out. Ever since I found out that i have stage 4 colon cancer my marriage has been down hill. It was before that also. But it seems to be getting worse. All he does is go to the bar. Until wee hours of the morning. And it is an every night thing. And it has been going on now for 4 yrs. And all i want is someone to hold me and be there for me. i didn't think that was so hard too ask.
I think I would like to change what I want. I would like confused1's husband to give up his trips to the bar and hold her. I will be praying for that it a big way! She needs that way more than I need a toaster!!!!

Well, sure. But once guys start the bar trips, they don't usually give them up -- that's life. So I will join with you in hoping confused1's husband comes home, but in case not, I hope you get a toaster.

I would bring breakfast to you both as well Lisa and Adrian, and wouldn't be a threat to your spouses as well, and actually, my husband wouldn't mind, he'd probably take the time out while you feed me to go fishing! LOL

My Christmas Wish
Would love for our youngest daughter, who is in the Army, to be home for Christmas and to be there when she gives birth in 3 weeks. I would also like to hold my new grand baby as I won't see her for over a year.
I would love for everyone to be NED.
I want more stability in my bowels so I can wear the pretty new pj's I bought without having to worry if I'm going to ruin them
I want to be able make love to my husband. Yup we discuss everything here. I go in the end of the month and will ask doctor how this can be achieved since radiation has shrunk everything down there.
I want everyone of you to have a Blessed Christmas and Holiday season (whatever you celebrate), and to spend quality time with your family and friends and to let you know, you are always in my prayers and thoughts. I love you all.
Hugs!

We tried about two months ago and it bleed and split so I know that the radiation did some major damage to the vagina. I have a dilator (no people not a dildo )about 1 inch in diameter that I'm supposed to use once a day but haven't. I want to talk to doctor about getting something done. Maybe an operation to split it open. Oh we do talk about everything don't we It hurts like heck for me too, and I want something that is going to be more comfortable. It has been since March. Poor husband he is so patient.

My list
Hmm...let's see.
I would love to have all the family together for one big pajama party for Christmas, so we could all open presents together.
I would love to have enough money to buy each person on my list, especially my grandchildren, one amazing gift that would make them dance with happiness.
I would love to be able to provide a complete Christmas for a needy family.
And, Santa, I know it's a lot to ask, but could I pretty please have a trip to Paris? It's a dream of mine for a long time now...
That's it!
*hugs*

Geez, thanks Mags, got to love you!0 -
I already have my present...
My grown daughter and I decided that this Christmas was about the grandkids, and we grownups weren't going to exchange gifts we probably don't need anyway. When I broached the subject with her, I asked if she would be upset not to get something from me. Her reply - "Mom, I have YOU back...that's my present." OK, go ahead a cry with me....
