Hi Donna,

I am wondering if you remember how many rounds of folfiri you had before you started to get regrowth - I just had #6 & I am still losing and not regrowing hair on my head. Thanks!

    Hey Anne!!
Do you mean tumor regrowth or hair regrowth??

I haven't had any new regrowths, the avastin has been helping starving the tumors, and not letting them spread, thats why she wants to keep me on it, the chemo did shrink them, but she has never mention new regrowths to me, she is wanting to stabilize it now to keep it contained and it not spread. I don't even have it on my lungs or anything yet.

I started losing alot of my hair on like the 3rd or 4th treatment, but I cut my hair to my shoulders, thinking the weight of my hair because it was so long, was causing it as well, and by the 7th treatment, It seemed to have stopped, and is now growing back, takes a few months to see them little spikes coming out of your head, but they do eventually lay down, and my hair has been feeling alot thicker, my hair always grew fast. I'm on my 16th treatment now, I'll get unhooked tomorrow morning, and still haven't lost all my hair, it's growing now :)

Hope that helps sister! ask me anything you want ;)

    Hugsss!

    Thanks Donna,
    I meant hair

    Thanks Donna,

I meant hair regrowth; I knew you had said yours has been growing in. I lost some of mine, than the loss seem to slow down but today I seem to be losing more again. I had round 6 on Tues, so if I am like you maybe I will start to get re-growth soon.

As for tumour regrowth, we just won't allow those!

    OH Definitely!!
Don't want those pesky tumors growing anywhere anymore LOL...they're a pain!

But don't worry, I was losing clumps and clumps of hair in my shower, and I was in tears, I thought it was all going, and all of a sudden by #7, 8 and 9th treatment, maybe 1 or 2 would even fall out, and still does, but they are regrowing, even if some are falling, for each hair that falls out, I say 3 more are coming in, makes me feel better LOL...But my onc said I wouldn't lose it all, and I sure didn't! I have to hairspray my spikes down or wear my cute lil hats in case my spikes don't want to go down heehee...I bought these cute hats in Claires at the mall, and my kids even love them and wear them, always handy!

    Thanks a lot, Donna,
    Spikes

    Thanks a lot, Donna,

Spikes would be very welcome at this point! I should buy some hats too; I don't have too many. I had my hair cut to about chin-length when it started getting scraggly & my bangs were driving me crazy. But today, it seemed like a lot of hair started coming out again. Thanks a lot!

    You Are Most Welcome!
I love the fedora hats, and fashionable baseball/trucker looking hats in black, those are what my kids steal on me all the time, and places like Claires, Icicle, Hot topic have some really cool looking stuff. Don't worry, it will stop and grow ;)

What I did notice was how much cooler my head felt without all that hair LOL! My bangs I keep cutting, those don't seem to come out, thank goodness, but they get long very fast!

You will see those spikes in no time! and you'll be happy when you do see them, even my kids were happy too see my hair growing in so quick, too bad some of them are gray, LOL...I'm afraid to color my hair though, because I'm afraid it may make it fall out again, so I'll wait on that! LOL
