Headache

Tuesday morning at 4:00 I had to wake up my husband to take me to the emergency room. My head was hurting so bad I felt like I had to hold it on my neck. I had a CT scan and some good pain meds and was sent home. The doctor in the Er told me to follow up with my Primary Doc.
Today I called my oncologist because I still had the headache, just not as bad. He saw the CT scan and is referring me to a neurologist. I didn't talk to the doctor, naturally, just the nurse and asked her why I should go to a neurologist. She said this is the doctor's recommendation.
Anybody out there have any ideas why he's sending me to a neurologist?

Thanks,
Debbie in Arkansas

    Possibly
A great friend at church had one of those headaches and just recovered from surgery for an aneurysm. The ER sent him to a neurologist and he had surgery very soon after that. He's doing pretty darn good.

Could be very serious - Aneurysm
My friend has the same thing happen to her, had she waited she could have died. The emergency room sent her home to take extra strength tylenol, she knew it was something more serious, so she demanded an ambulance to the hospital. Had she not done that she would have died.
