your first chemo
What I learned to do for myself going through all of those chemo treatments. Is, I made sure I had everything I needed at home to be totaly comfortable. I was guilty at first because I was taught never to sit around doing nothing. Well chemo makes you tired, and your emotions go up and down. So, get great books if you like to read, comfortable pillows and blankets for the couch, good movies. Refreshing drinks, fruit or what ever you feel like eating. Magazaines, any thing you can think of. This is your time to keep a peaceful heart and if people want to spoil you let them do it. If your to tired for company put a sign on your front door and turn the phone off. Sometimes I was to exhausted for company, they always wanted to talk about cancer and that wasn't my favorite subject. People can mean well but they can also zap your energy. there were many times I would cry and not know why, but during those times I closed my eyes and imagained Gods arms wrapped around me. If you need a nap ten times a day then take them. Be good to yourself and stay thankful as much as possible. You will get through this faster than you think.0 -

When you don't want company, let them know it and don't let them in! I had to be rude a couple times, but I just wanted to be by myself and deal with it, not deal with trying to be pleasant.... Explain ahead of time so people don't get hurt.
Good books: Lance Armstrong's book is AMAZING! I'm not into The Shack and loving it.
Very slow at first, I did a lot of skimming to get through it, but from the middle on it's so inspiring (if you're a Christian).
God bless and hoping your good luck continues!

Yeah!
Congrats on having your first treatment under your belt! Take the advice given above - and remember that day 3 is sometimes harder for some reason - so kind of plan ahead on being a bit more down that day - and if it doesn't happen, great!
Sending positive vibes your way
