EXCELLENT!
I'm so happy you did well and feel good! If anything you may get a little achy and tired the next couple days, but that's not hard to deal with. Hopefully, you won't get anything at all like Lesley... WOW, that's amazing & very encouraging! Do you go every 2 or 3 weeks, Lisa? I go every 3 for 6 treatments. If you go every 2, you'll have me beat!0 -

We knew you could do it! I usually felt a little icky days 2 & 3, but nothing I couldn't handle. I went every 2 weeks so it was a bit challenging - as soon as I was feeling better it was time to go again, but, I did get done sooner - anyway, you'll do just fine! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
much love,

Not far behind you
Hi there,
Is your name Lisa? I'm still getting used to this site. Glad to hear it went OK first time around for you. I'll be starting in about 2 weeks so I am going to be going like gang busters till then. Any side effects yet?
Love,
Sharon0 -
all up hill from here
right on chickie. just drink lots of water and eat ice chips while doing chemo.( mouth sores were alot more when i didnt eat them ) i found i got mouth sores 3rd day into chmeo start your thrush medicne and you will get thru it.everyone is different , you might not get it0 -
Congrats! Glad you made it
Congrats! Glad you made it through #1!!! Like everyone else - fluids is key. You can do herbal teas, broth, juice, water - all those are good! Soda doesn't count toward your fluids. And (here's my soap box)- watch out for the big "C" (constipation) - all the meds can stop you up. Some people get the opposite reaction - but be very proactive about keeping things moving through. You don't want this stuff trapped inside of you longer than need be!
I go for #2 chemo tomorrow - I'm keeping my fingers crossed it goes as well as #1!
Hugs and prayers to you!

hi sharon
Yes my name is Lisa , today is day 3 after chemo, no real side effects and even the 5 hour infusion went by fast, I am a bit achey from the neulesta shot today but other then that pretty doable, I think the worst for me was the anticipation and anxiety of the 1st treatment , ny nurses were amazing and so were the volunteers, lets just say its not something you would sign up for but its not as bad or horrifying as it may feel, hope this helps let me know how it goes xoxo

Me too, I got through number one, and two is next Tuesday.
What I've learned is do your own research, no matter how much you like your doctor.
Claritin saved me from days of agony from the Neulasta, you might want to check it out, it
snuck up on me later in the first week. Also salt water, not very glamorous, but it saved me from mouth sores, though my throat became very very sore. And Glutamine and vitamin B, on day 6 I got some neuropathy, feet and hands went numb, that scared me a lot. Mostly it's better, but I'm sure worried about getting through next week without getting worse. Good luck to us all.0 -
