Lion1. Let's hope this is a memorable date. Did the meds you were taking recently have ANY positive effect on your bladder spasms? How confident is your doctor that BOTOX will work, or is this just another step required before approving AdVance surgery? Good Fortune. tpelle0 -

tpelle,
The meds had no effect at all.
The Doc feels that the Botox can provide 6 mos to a Year relief from Bladder Contractions, which will decrease the leaking. If the Contracting Bladder is the main culprit, then the Botox should have a significant effect. In any case as long as I don't have any side effects, the situation should be improved. He did state that some men choose to have this treament a number of times to avoid surgery.
Stay tuned and Happy Holidays.
If you gathered as much, there was no way I was doing this before Christmas. Just in case something went wrong.
I guess I could say I waited all year for my family's Christmas gathering, with incontinence, so I could definitely wait one more month for Botox.
