my mom is in complete remission from stage 4 lung cancer

this is how my life was turned upside down..my mom had been saying she wasn't feeling well for a while. she always went to the dr.alway took care of herself. march 27Th this year she was told she has lung cancer she never smoked never drank.this is the worst ever the dr.'s has to drain her tummy 2 times with fluid and she started losing weight her normal weight has always been 164.she lost down to 123 in less than 2 months the dr told my family that she was stage 4 that had spread to the abd. and pelvic refused to accept this i prayed so hard and so did everyone i knew. she did the chemo and the dr ordered another kind as well that had a 702.00 copay.i did get help for this from the payment assisit programs. the dr ordered a ct scan.my mom had told me when she was done with the scan that she wasn't afraid.. because she no longer had cancer.i said mom i hope you are right.the dr came in to go over the results and the can not find any sign of cancer anywhere.........god is so great during this time in our lifes she did do 1 more round of chemo only because we know she was a sick lady.we had another pet scan done in sept.still no sign of this devil that had entered her body and our life.prayers are powerful and faith never give up i hope my story helps everyone that reads this .thank god for our great dr.'s and god for all our blessings .this is going to be the best thanksgiving ever..............god bless you all.patty

    That was inspirational, we have been fighting lung cancer with my mother and it has now spread to the liver, left arm and leg and lord knows where else. We are praying that God will get this devil out of her also. I pray for a cure with this disease, so that, people do not have to confront this devil. God Bless to all.

    My dad is quite ill with this disease and he also never smoked, he did drink though.
    I am just curios, what type of chemo did they use?

    if you could let me know as my Dad is on his final legs

    Patty, I have just been diagnosed and trying to sort out treatment. What drugs was your mom on during chemo. Your posting was very inspiring for me on one of me very down days. Shirley

    THERE IS NO MIRACLE CURE. THERE ARE NO MIRACLE DRUGS. THERE ARE NO MIRACLE FOODS. THERE ARE NO MIRACLE THERAPIES.

    Maybe, someday, there will be. Those of you seeking a parting of the Red Sea from this individual should be advised that he/she now appears to be backtracking, perhaps, I will reluctantly acknowledge, from early over-exuberance...perhaps.

    Did they give an original prognosis for your mom? Dad told dr to be honest & she told him 1 1/2 yrs, more or less. Not to start chemo for 2 wks. This seems too long to wait to start??? please help , need answers. Also praying a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Your post is very informative, I mean how many mistakes can there be concerning one person with one illness?!?! I will make sure myself or someone with me helps review all of my medical records going into this thing! Thank you for the info and God bless you and yours.
