Thanks for checking in
Hi Pattee,
We are a go for surgery next Monday, November 23rd. We just had an early Thanksgiving dinner tonight since Brant will be post surgery over Thanksgiving. While we are really looking forward to finally getting him to surgery, now it seems really close and I am nervous. I can't quite picture what recovery will look like (they are putting in the pump and taking out the primary which will involve a permanent colostomy).
They found that the pancreatic lesion was in the pancreas but was mucinous which is not a feature of the aggressive pancreatic cancer. The biopsy came back undetermined, because they only got mucous with the biopsy. So the surgery is back on. I will keep people posted after surgery. Again, thanks for checking in! I really appreciate it.

Please keep us posted on how your husband's doing and also on you and your son. I like to idea of the "early Thanksgiving". I personally think we should have Thanksgiving 2 or 3 times a year. I love turkey and pie!! ).... I'm Praying that the cancer is not aggressive pancreatic cancer. Your son looks like mine "Hunter" he just turned 4. You can see his pic under my expressions page. Remember to keep us posted.

Yep I can certainly understand the upcoming and current nervousness. Your husband is in one of the best places in the world for his surgery- and having been through it and knowing countless others who have (although not so many with the pump)- I totally believe the recovery will only be a small bump on the road ahead. Soon enough it will be over and you WILL be relieved to have this behind you!0 -
