    You guys are the best!
Awww, thanks so much! I appreciate all the good wishes. As I said, I couldn't do it without you. I love hearing from all of you multi-year survivors that I want to emulate. I have taken so much inspiration from you. And for those of us earlier in our journies, it's so good to have each other to lean on.

I 'm rather a mix as this is
I 'm rather a mix as this is my second or third time around 15 years apart. I know that I would eventually not think about my aniiversary, but once said to a friend "wow the PMS this month is BAD I feel pretty down" and she just looked at me like DUH what month is it? This year it was the same as we were doing college things. interesting i got diagnosed same time of year hmmmmm....so life takes over but it never totally goes away its just different and not so raw. I was lucky enough to have one major glitch then nothing so it may have been easier. we shall see now.....

All 3 of my primary cancers
All 3 of my primary cancers were originally diagnosed in late October/early November. I think I'll just skip that time from now on. Oh, can't do that, October is my daughter's birthday. Weird though, isn't it?

    Congrats on your 1 year
Congrats on your 1 year Mimi!! That day certainly was a rough one. You have been through so much since then, but you have been strong and made it through. May you have many, many more anniversaries. And thank you my friend for your kindness and support. Eil

    Hi mimi
What a year, hey? A life changing one at that...I am coming up on my 6month cancerversary, chemo is done, reconstruction will be next year, herceptin until august and a clinical trial to start at the end of month. My eyebrows are gone, my hair is starting to grow back, I started jogging again....and best of all, I am no longer psychotic!!

I agree, everyone on this site has to be thanked over and over again. I realize everyday how much I need all of you, my friends and family...and dont you agree that life is good!

    Hugs to you

MiMi, I want you to know
MiMi, I want you to know that you have been my inspiration to this site. I faithfully read your comments. I, as well as you, am coming up on 1 yr of diagnosis of hormone negative, her-2 pos. high grade bc. (I think you are triple negative) We don't seem to have the best combo, but what I live by is "Face it, Fight it and Forget it" Congrats and I wish all of us the best.

    Hear, Hear!
I will echo the sentiments on this board and say that I am both happy for you and grateful for you.

I had an almost identical experience in how I received my news, except that my boss made me leave early. Even though my memory is more recent, I think it will be one of those moments none of us will ever forget.

Now I need to go to the Hallmark store to find a Happy Cancerversary card!

Celebrate Mimi - you deserve it!

    An inspiration!
You are truly an inspiration Mimi! Congratulations... you have a huge reason to celebrate. I can so relate to the day of the 'phone call', as my doc told me over the phone as well. I don't think I ever felt that way ever in my life and hope I never do again. My dog even felt the panic. She ran downstairs to my boys crying as though to tell them something was wrong with mom. I didn't cry, but I guess she sensed my anxiety.

Thank you for taking such an active role on this board, Mimi! I look forward to walking in your path!

    Truly, Mar

    My Apologies
I am so sorry I have not been here for such a long time. Mimi, congratulations on your cancerversary! And someone said, "I hope you will not abandon this board" - It is true your posts are truly encouraging. I want to be the same way. I want to come here every day and see if I can write something that makes someone feel good. I am celebrating my 6th cancerversary. I can tell you all that the treatments were not easy. But it is so good that we are all still here. I too, feel like I know you all. Let me help. I lost my hair (twice), but it grew back. I had chemo brain but the fog is gone and I am as good as I ever was. Again, I am so sorry I abandoned the board. Inez

I wish we had met almost any
I wish we had met almost any place but a site encouraging one another through the battle of our lives~ not just our physical lives, but our married lives, our professional lives, our emotional, sexual, and social lives. And yet, we stand shoulder to shoulder seeing one another through the fears and the triumphs, the small steps and the large. Congratulations on coming so far~ and for the love and empathy you have showed to all of us here on the boards. Your energy and spirit are a tribute to the woman you are~ it is an honor to know you!

    CELEBRATE your milestone!!!!!
