My husband went in this morning to have his PET scan to see how he is responding to chemo. They injected the radioactive material and then discovered that the power to the scanner wasn't working. He has to go back in and try again tomorrow. I have barely been holding myself together waiting for the results of the test so of course this is what happens.

AAAGGHHHHH! Okay, feeling (slightly) better now.

    UGH!! Sorry to hear
UGH!! Sorry to hear that...how frustrating!! Best of luck tomorrow on the scans and try not to think about it too much. I get my results from my PET/CT today @ 4pm, which I took on thursday. So I'm trying to keep my mind clear. Hopefully, you guys can do the same and not worry so much.

you want to ask the tech if the machine is plugged in, power on and maybe check for yourself, (Ha, Ha).

Some situations call for us to run outside and just SCREAM at the top of our lungs, take a deep breath, and we are good to go until tomrrow :)

    Guarantee ya....
that if there was anyway to get the PET done they would have done it because the radioactive injection that they shot in is around $1000 a shot.....and if its a traveling mobile Unit like ours in Paducah is they don't give ya a second chance that day. You have to reschedule it for when they come back in town. They only bring enough for the scheduled scans.....
