Yes, I had my last chemo on October 7th. Most of the side effects are gone now, though I'm still having a hard time with fatigue and memory problems.
I started the Tammoxifen this past weekend (and now I know what a hot flash feels like!), and will see the radiation oncologist for the first time this Thursday, to start discussing rads. My regular oncologist thinks they may have to do each breast separately, which would mean 10 WEEKS of rads.
5 years of Tamoxifen, months of rads -- it's like there's no end in sight....I feel like I'm going to be doing nothing but eating, breathing, and sleeping breast cancer for the rest of my life.

Doesn't it feel like this is going to last forever? I just wanted to tell you that I am on the Tamoxifen too. You are not having hot flashes....they are tropical mini vacations with an equal amount of trips to the north pole! How many people do you know that get to do that at the drop of a hat? (Teehee). We can do our count down together.....1825 tablets to go!! Hugs....♥Pammy0 -
Hi VickiSam!
All I can add is - hang in there. I just tried to make each chemo day an outing. I'd take the day off from work and after the treatment we'd go out to lunch and maybe to the dollar store for fun then home and sleep. Do not dispair! There is "life" at the end of the tunnel!!!!0 -
