The Map of where we are
Only one more week until I find out if my oncotype score is low enough that I don't need chemo. I have to have the blood work for the chemo done on Tuesday as the doc puts it "just in case" since I am coming up on 2 months post-surgery and he wants to start before November 10th if I need it. I'm asking for positive thoughts and prayers this week especially to calm my racing mind and help me make the best decision for me. I don't know how the oncotype score relates to the Arimidex. I will probably take it anyway even with a lower score but am still a bit unsure.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I've gotten everything accomplished that I wanted. My son and his family are going out to my daughter-in-laws parents tonight and I'll have the house to myself. May drink a couple beers and relax.

Pretty cool. Good job. I don't think you got me in there but I wasn't on the last listing. So all you people in LA and the east don't fret. I also read an article once that Connecticut had the most breast cancer per capita in the US. That was scary. That's where I was diagnosed. But we had also just moved there 5 months before. So it was deceiving.0 -

I live in Ithaca, NY, about 250 miles upstate from NYC. A lot of cancer here. Relay came here because of this. Hope they can figure out why soon.0 -

Wow, Lola ... thank you!
I've wondered more than once since my diagnosis if someone has ever done a study to see where the highest clusters of women with bc are diagnosed. There are many factors ... but I'm wondering if there is an environmental variable in all of it. Very, very interesting. I'm from the midwest and there are a lot of us from the farm states ... pesticides, agriculture? No answers, I know, but it really is interesting. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Blessings,

Amazingly Cool
The map is awesome. I am in NW Indiana, Portage to be exact. Pretty much where Indiana meets Illinois right on Lake Michigan.
What is even more awesome than the map is the statement "The reason I am here isn't as important as the women here" Nothing says it better. Your posts always help me. I wanted to thank you for being you and sharing it with us.

Thank you so much for doing this! That was pretty neat to see. If anyone is interested, the ACS has a booklet called Cancer Facts & Figures 2009. I picked one up at the local office. Looks like CA,FL,NY,&TX has the most cancer stats. Besides population, I would think there has to be something to this.
