prednisone/no hunger

i have to take prednisone 5 days every month and will finish my 5th day tomorrow. i am happy to say i have not gotten hungry yet. hope it will not do so since i am only taking it 5 days a month.

    No hunger either
    I also had to take the 5 days of Prednisone in early October and was not hungry at all. I kind of had to force myself to eat but I wasn't sick to my stomach or anything. I was so glad because I had read so much about the hunger and weight gain....guess we need to take our perks where we can get them. I just had my 2nd round of R CHOP yesterday 10-27 and so far so good. It was alot faster this time, about 4 hours. Had the Prednisone and do not feel hungry this morning at all. Hope it stays that way. Good luck. Mary

    One more thing
    I almost forgot. On day 6 the first day of no prednisone a few hours after I would have taken it I suddenly became very very tired. I was at work and it felt like all the air was let out of my balloon. My MD had warned me about this so I didn't freak out. I was able to finish my day and was more tired the next day but that was it.

    will have my 2nd round the 11th of nov. and every 21 days thereafter. good luck to you and thank you for replying to my comments. glad to hear you were not hungry the second round. hope i won't eigther. i can not afford another ounce!

    lol I can't afford any ounces either but did lose 4 pounds between treatments and they adjusted my prednisone dose down slightly this time. I'm still not hungry and have 2 days of prednisone left. I think it affects my tastbuds, nothing tastes right. I'll go for round 3 on 11/17.
