Well it appears that the outie belly button that I was getting lately is a Hernia. Luckily, no surgery is needed right now, they will just keep an eye on it. My CEA level is normal and my CT Scan will be in two weeks. If all is good, then I will not need another scan until after the new year. My fingers, toes and crossed!

BTW: funny........I had a stiff neck so went to get a massage now I can't move my neck, shoulder and the back of my thighs ache so much, I can't even get on my bed. lol. Funny but in pain!

Praying for us all.

    Oh My!
Forgive me for kind of giggling at the massage thing, you go there to feel good, and come out feeling worse, OUCH! I never went to get a massage before, I'm kind of shy in that way, lol...

But fingers crossed on those scans, I thought once you had a hernia, you were supposed to get it out, hope you're not in any pain! But glad you don't need surgery! You're in my prayers and thoughts!

    Hugsss!

    Pain
Make sure if you have any pain get to the doctor fast...I had a very large hernia removed and gallbladder removed at the same time. They said the hernia broke out of the stomach wall and was getting caught there..It could lead to alot of problems so please keep on top of it..Good luck.....JULIE

    Get one!
    Donna,

I went for a hot stone massage one time, and I was all nervous about lying in my underwear on the table (covered by a sheet, of course). By the end of the massage, I would not have cared if I'd been lying in the lobby in my underwear! It's heaven!!!

    *hugs*

    4th Chemo underway
Hi! Thanks again for all your responses you've have helped me out. Good luck to you with all your test results I will definitely keep you in my prayers. Today I started my 4th Chemo treatment which I was going to opt out on until the shoulder pain was addressed but b/c he told me my cancer nos. read 27 dropped down to 5 and agreed to drop my oxy level down 30%, I chose to wait and see if the side affect was due to the oxy level. So here I sit waiting for the pain to start I am so scared. I am unsure what he meant by cancer #'s though - would you know what that term is did he mean to say white count. I need to ask him I guess. I also found out today that I have nodules on my thyroid that I will need to have biopsied. I need to call the encro doc tomm and make an appt. Well thanks for listening and I'll keep everyone posted. Hugs.

    Pain
I hope the pain doesn't get any worse for you. I've always been so scared of getting one and I've heard of people saying how painful it is. You are in my thoughts and prayers for your scan. You are going to be fine and scan is going to come back clean. Glad your other test came back normal. Never got a massage because I can't stand people touching my neck or back - I know I'm weird LOL.

    Hernia...
I had a large hernia develop above my "umbilicus" after my last liver surgery (2007). The surgeon kept an eye on it until he felt I was "stable" and beyond the need of cancer surgery. It was repaired this summer via open surgery (what's one more cut!) and "mesh". Not quite the "6-Pack" that Pam was hoping for but good-as-new otherwise!

Sorry to hear about all the stiffness and pain!

Peace and blessings... Rob; in Vancouver
