I don't think I'm thriving, in fact, I've given up hope. I'm 33 years old, a newlywed, was just getting on with my career and starting to think about having a family...but I'm dying. I wish I could be upbeat about it and say, "yeah, there's always hope"...I just don't feel that way anymore.
Sorry for the sour grapes, this is just my own experience.

Still here...
Hi Diane,
Thanks for thinking of me. I'm still around and searching for something to treat my CC. Nothing has worked and we're probably going to be doing chemoembolization for my liver tumor as it's getting quite large - 6.5 cm now. It's causing considerable pain that I have to take meds for.
I don't post all that often, I'm just trying to take one day at a time.
I do deeply appreciate your prayers and your consideration. I too pray for everyone on this board.
Take care,

I had 5 tumors embolized in sept. Emboliztion is very effective. See if you can have a bland embolization. That is an embolization without the chemo. You'll be back on your feet in just a few days. Every one of my doctors have agreed that there is very little benefit in applying the chemo during an embolization procedure. I know the embolization will work for you and buy you some much needed success.0 -

Thank you all so much! I saw how many of you wrote and I started crying. I know I shouldn't really be surprised because you are all such loving, caring, thoughtful people. But I didn't really think I had made much of a difference. I wish I were more of a positive influence on these boards. You are all so amazing.
Just to update you all, I met my new oncologist at Karmanos Cancer Center (I'm now back home in Michigan) and I LOVE HER!!! She's so positive and decisive and when she says something, she makes me believe it. My previous doctors were good, but she's a real a**-kicker. Hopefully I'll be undergoing the chemoembolization either late next week or the week after and then we're on to a clinical trial.
Thank you again everyone, from the bottom of my heart. I will continue to pray for you all.
Love,
Elizabeth0
