Hang in there
I am too new to give you any advise. Except you are doing the most important thing already by being a supportive and loving sister. You will get huge amounts of sound advise here shortly. But for now know that prayers are with you and your sister and help is around the corner.0 -
Hang in there
Hey sorry to hear about your sister my prayers are with her!!
I was very sick also and I know how she must feel!! It kicked me right off my feet and I was sick for 2 weeks straight. I was taking the same as her and it will get better make sure she takes her meds for those side effects and no matter what ask the dr for anything. I am now done with my chemo but it stays in your body til its done.. I have had 2 transfusions of platelets cause my counts are so out of WACK.. The chemo affects us differently but it will get better.. I will keep her in my prayers and please let us know how it goes..

I am so sorry for your sister's pain and sufferingMyTurnNow said:I took this same "cocktail"
I took this same "cocktail" but didn't have excessive side effects. Have you contacted her oncologist? I would think if she ended up in the hospital after the first treatment, they are aware of it??? Something doesn't sound right.
I'm on TCH similar .. and experience many side effect - I've landed in emergecy thinking I was having a heart attack after my first TCH 6 hour treatment .. 2 days later I had bone scan, petscan and ct scan .. radio active materails insert into my body .. over load on medication.
I agree with MyTurnNow .. 2 times in the hospital, does not sound or feel right .. Something needs to be done .. and NOW. Your poor sister. But If your sister is in a clinical trial, doctors may keep her on same chemo med's.
Please go to Chemocare.com -- Scott Hamilton's picture will be part of home page .. go in and insert all chemo med's .. print out each page and take to your sister's onc doctor. My onc HATED me when I did this ... as he down played my side efforts for 2 weeks, now he shuts up when I describe my latest side effort. This site also gives you valuable hints and proven help for many side efforts, we breast cancer sisters in PINK are suffering thru.
Good Luck and prayers for you and sister,
