Use of GLIO wafers

I had surgery for GBM 4 on 1/13/09 and the surgeon placed 6 glio wafers on the tumor before closing me up. I was wondering if anyone else had has the glio wafers and how are you doing.

    Hello! I had my second craniotomy on 12/4/08. Grade 3-4 this time and received 8 glialdel wafers, followed by 6 weeks of temodar/chemo and radiation then 6 months of maintenance chemo. My 3rd post treatment scan is next week! So far so good I guess!

    Thanks for responding. You are the only other person I have talked to who has had the wafers. I had surgery for GBM 4 on 1/13/09 and have been doing well myself. I have never had a clean MRI post surgery but am hopeful for the first one. My next MRI is due on 11/16/09. I can see we are both coming up to 1 year since surgery.
