It's just about time for me to meet Mr. daVinci. Monday morning, 7:30 EST I'll be out and hopefully, my Dr's well rested hands will be doing their magic.

I've been to the pump salesman, experimented with needles (under Dr's orders of course) and have been fairly faithful with Kegals. Hope it all works out.

Prayers for a succesful operation and speedy recovery would be appreciated.

I'll post more on the other side.

Thanks friends,
Jim

    Surgery
My daVinci was a week ago, I got the catheter out Wednesday. Not a walk in the park but nothing like I imagined.

Nothing anyone can say will reduce your anxiety, just know a lot of us have been right where you are and in a few days you will be where we are.

    Good luck!

    Jim,

Tomorrow is the one month anniversary of my da Vinci. You have done your research, made your decisions and are confident in the abilities of your doctor. You are prepared and have nothing else to do. It is all up to everybody else now. Take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the weekend. Go out to a nice dinner, make love, have a few drinks, enjoy and celebrate life.

Each and every one of us reacts differently to the surgery. If you are one of the more fortunate the surgery will be a non event. I have been totally dry and in control from 6 days following my surgery when my cath was removed. I was walking 2-3 miles per day beginning the day after I was released from the hospital. Did that by taking small 1/2 to 3/4 mile walks 4 times a day. Never had any need for pain meds from the day of release. Haven't had any itching from the healing or any other discomfort. And I am beginning to show signs of recovery in the ED arena.

And YES, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

But until it does I am enjoying life to it's fullest. For years I have lived life to the mantra, "Every Day is A Bonus". Only now I put a little more zest in it.

Prayers and blessings have been flowing your way since your first post. So accept them and know that you are ready.

Peace to you and your family,

    Sonny
