Hi Everyone, I just wanted to thank all of you for the hope you have given me. My 33 year old son was diagnosed with stage 4 CRC in January of this year. As a nurse I knew the "statical" survival rate for this stage...or so I thought. Then God blessed me with finding you guys and I have been glued to this site every since. You have no idea how much just reading your comments, love and laughter have changed my life. Everyday I come to this site, afraid of what the future will bring for my son and I leave smiling and knowing there are many survivors of this horrid disease. So again, thank you for all the help you give people that you dont even know about.

Welcome
Dear Vicki,
So sorry to hear about your son. My son is 33 also and know how devastated I would be for him. I was diagnosed Stage IIIc almost 2 years ago, 8/38 lymph nodes positive, bowel obstruction, lemon size tumor, resection (12in.) chemo 6 months. It's been a real difficult journey but I am happy to be here. I will be praying for your family. So glad you found this forum. I didn't find it until about 2 months ago. What a blessing it is. You can bring all your questions and concerns here. There is always someone wonderful to help you thru this. Maybe you son would be interested in posting. I wish I had known about it when I was in treatment. So much experience here.
Again, Welcome
Blessings to your family

Welcome
First welcome to the boards, and secondly, sorry you had to find us this way. However, we are a great bunch of people ready to be here for any situation. We laugh, cry, share, and sometimes (but rarely) butt heads, but we are a big happy family. I'm sorry you son discovered his colorectal cancer, but he has much better chances now of survival than years ago because research has come so far. As you have been reading, you will have noticed many people on here with high stage cancer that have been NED for many, many years and are here to testify to that fact. We welcome your son to come on this board if he wants to also. Let him know we are here for him as well.
