All you guys made such great posts for Phil, I like to let him know as well how much he is appreciated here too, I love your posts, alittle of sweetness, alittle of sarcasm, but you say it like it is without sugarcoating, and it is wonderful Phil.
Hugsss!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. It was a good day. Low-key, I made an incredible pot roast in my slow cooker. I really do not like to make a big deal out of birthdays, I just like having them.

Ol' Timer
Happy B'day to my Ol'Timer buddy, Phil
Phil is a long time resident of this community and as such is one of the "elders" that is cherished here.
Phil has a certain way of articulating things that is very unique indeed.
It took a couple of passes reading Phil's posts for me to begin to understand his way of thinking, his humor, and his style of delivery.
But then, "I got it."
Never getting to know anyone with Cancer these past 5 years, I've not had too many people to compare mine too...but in meeting Phil and finding out that he has been battling his cancer for the same length of time that I have...5+ years, I developed a respect for Phil and someone who had been at this as long as me.
As a result, I did not feel like a freak and that I was not alone in length of service or my feelings towards Cancer and in Life.
As I've mentioned before, I'm not sure if Phil can really understand what he has meant to me personally...after reading this, I hope that he does.
You take care, NY Phil, OK?

Happy Birthday
Hey Phil,
Happy, Happy Birthday, Birthdays are good. Another year of successfully battling cancer. One of the many things that I appreciate is how you manage to fight this disease so bravely yet you don't let it run/ruin your life. You have a wonderful sense of humor, tenderness, sarcasim and a lot more that you give to all of us. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. You make a huge difference to me and I'm sure many others. Don't mean to get too mushy here but thank you for being real.
Blessing to you,

How the hell can I ask you to take a long walk on a short pier after that post???
You've been in the "game" a long time too as you said. I guess we're the "Grateful We're Not Dead" heads. Attitude is everything. You have a great one my friend and so do I. I'm slightly more warped than you but that's being a New Yorker I suppose. I was like this even when I was in NJ though.
Everyone here means something special to me, Craig (or is it Graig?) we're in slightly different boats but on a similar journey. You too are in it for the long haul and have been far more uplifting and inspirational than I have been for so many people. I thank you as does most everyone else on this board.
Thanks again everyone. Let's keep everyone's Birthday coming!

A very very happy birthday to you. I'm sorry I missed it, but I'm hoping that you had a wonderful, exciting day. That's why you had the picture of the fireworks - hope it was a huge celebration

Happy birthday, Phil.
Who knew that you were so old?
Here's an old Irish birthday toast (it goes down nicely with a glass of a good merlot):
I drink to your coffin. May it be built from the wood of a hundred year old oak tree that I shall plant tomorrow.
