Has anyone had the heated intraperitoneal chemo after cytoreduction surgery?

    Heated?
    I know that before they gave me the chemo - they took the chill out... that's how they put it. It was warm but not necessarily heated!

    I just researched...
    on my computer and saw that what you are talking about it different then regular intraperitonel chemo. If I understand it correctly = the heated one is placed in you at the time of surgery for up to 90 minutes and then removed before the surgeon closes you back up. Sounds like a great treatment.

    That is exactly what happens and this from what I gather is giving lots of people a better long term prognosis. I had this done and have the faith that I will be cancer free for a while.

    Yes I had this procedure after cytoreduction surgery on Aug. 6, 2009.
