Best of luck to you on your surgery! It will be over in no time and you will be on the other side.

Tom, good luck on your surgery tomorrow. Ah! A fellow Orlandoan, I myself live in Winter Park. If you have seen any of my posts this week you have seen that the recovery can be fairly easy. I hope and prayer that yours goes as well as mine and the outcome from your surgery is great.
Blessings to you and your family,

I'm home
I just got home and took a shower to wash off all of the hospital.
My da Vinci surgery at ORMC Orlando was Thursday at 1:00 pm. I was in recovery until 8:30 pm because of nausea. Then to MD Anderson cancer center to a private room. It had a Murphy bed, so Dale was able to stay in the room with me the first night. We only live 15 minutes from the hospital, so he stayed home the next night. You get no sleep in a hospital.
I had an IV in one hand and an IV connection in the other. The catheter, compression hose and air pump leg compressors with two long hoses to the pump. Sleeping with all of that isn't easy.
My doctor came in and told me today, that they already had the report in on my prostate and the Gleason score stayed the same 3+3 6. My margins were clear. He looked at the lymph nodes and they were fine. He saved both sets of nerves.
I was up Friday walking, and walked a lot today before going home after lunch. Catheter comes out next thursday and then the recovery. Hopefully never having to worry about prostate cancer in me again.

Glad to hear everything went well for you. I'm sure it was nice to get home for the rest and recovery.
I am 9 days post surgery today. Be sure to follow the 2 Ws of recovery. Drink lots and lots of water and walk as much as you can. Both will really help speed the recovery.
Really good news on the path report. You got it really quick. Most of us have to wait at least 5 days after surgery for the labs to finish the report.
Best of luck to you in the future,
Sonny0
