Tired of fighting Doctors

I had a RP in 12-07. PSA remains low as of today. 12-08 I had a sling procedure to control incontinence. I went from 6 pads to 1-2 pads a day afterwords. I have been told this is probably as good as it will get. ED problems: Muse 1000 mg did nothing; tri-mix 4 @ .02875 gave me erections but the tip of my penis started to point north. The bending hurt both me and my wife. Haven't done injections since 2-09. Levitra, Viagra three time a week didn't work. 20 MG Cialis dailey for 3 months does nothing. Blow up device will get the old boy up but it doesn't last long enough to get the job done. I have been to 5 Doctors in two states. 3 tell me to NOT have a AMS 700 -or 800 because of scaring. 2 Docs want to do the surgery. Doctor # 6 today, advised that I should be glad that (1) I don't have cancer; (2) be thankful I am using 2 pads a day and (3) Accept the fact that sex is not in my future, period. Here is my question ARE THERE OTHER MEN WHO ARE BEING TOLD TO FORGET ABOUT SEX? If I knew then what I know now, I would NOT have had the surgery.

    Wow, sounds like you have really been having it rough! Have you tried talking to other doctors that might specialize in penile rehabilation or the urinary issues? Or have you just been talking to your local doctor's? it would seem that some specialist would be able to help.

    Thanks for your input. I have been to 6 Doctors in two states. The penile rehabilation hasn't worked; as per their suggestions. If you have any specific Doctors ANYWHERE please advise. I have been advised that I have Keloid skin and as such would have more complications after penile implant. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    I've not been to any specific penile rehab doctor but read the book Saving your sex Life by Dr. John P Mulhall.

    He practices out of NYC and specialies in penile rehab. You might want to check about seeing him. He is at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.

    I had my robotic surgery on Aug. 12 and have been having some success with Levitra. I'm keeping his name just in case!
