Anyone have problems sleeping after chemo?

Has anyone had problems sleeping after chemo?
My hubby says he can sleep great when the sun
comes up but has crazy dreams at night...

Anyone have any experiences like these?
If so, any suggestions?

    after one of my early
    after one of my early treatments, think it was #3- I did not sleep for 2 weeks. Not sure what was going on with that or why, but my oncologist put me on sleeping pills, Restoril (I think)and I was finally able to sleep. I was on them for the remainder of chemo.

    Sleep
    I have trouble sleeping the third night after chemo. I'll take my Ativan and Ambien around 10:00 p.m. and at 2:00 a.m. I'm still laying in bed counting chickens or trying to relax myself. Usually around 2:00 or 4:00 a.m. I sleep deeply and wake up anywhere from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. I've told my doctor about this many times and he doesn't want any other drug in my system that might combat the chemo.

    I was told that it was from the steroids given with the chemo the first day. My oncologist gave me ambien prescription to help with sleep. Hope the chemo goes well.

    Also was sleepless
    Hi there,
    I had a difficult time sleeping during chemo. Would wake up after a couple of hours of sleep and be totally awake. Started taking sleeping pills which helped. Also found Melatonin which is a more natural product. Ask your doctor first before taking anything new.

    Yup! My oncologist put me
    Yup! My oncologist put me on Ativan at first which didn't help at all, now I'm on Ambien and I sleep like a baby.

    Get something for sleep
    I take Ativan for sleep, if I forget I can't even stand the crazy dreams and ansomnia. Ask the Dr. to prescribe something, rest is vital in this fight.

    No Sleep
    I finally figured out it was the steroids after the 2nd or 3rd treatment and got Restoril from my onc. The day of chemo I decided to take two since one wouldn't even work. I think I took two just one time. They aren't that strong, only 15 mg.

    Now that I have been off all treatment for 4 months I still will take a pill for a good nights sleep. Numbness set in in my feet and legs after I was off drugs and I would not be able to get to sleep or would wake up with my feet restless. I hope the numbness goes away eventually.
