Well- I haven't been here for a while. Mom has been done with her chemo for about one month now and 1 1/2 weeks ago found a lump in her breast. The ultrasound looked ok and they thought maybe clogged duct so put her on antibiotics. She had a MRI this past Tuesday and still hasn't gotten the results. Should get them read tomorrow and hopefully will hear from her surgeon. She is so pro-active and supportive of Mom- couldn't ask for better.

It is just so hard this waiting game. She had a mammogram in Feb or March and all was clear. She said that her lymph node swelling has gone down and that her chest wall pain is not as bad---it is all so very scary! But- I am realistic in knowing how fast things can change.

I pray that she gets results tomorrow- knowing is half the battle.

Anyone out there have any similar experiences?

I did tell her my good news- we are expecting kiddo #2. I am 4 1/2 months along and she was thrilled and gave her quite a pick me up--something else to think about rather than all this 'stuff'.

Thanks.... Susan

    I did
The January after I had my colon resection, I had a mammogram that showed a questionable spot on my breast. I ended up having a core needle biopsy, and it showed that the spot was fine. They did a metal marker, so they could check the spot in future mammograms. This past January I had one, and the spot hadn't changed.

Hope your mom's experience turns out so well!

    Congratulations on the baby, too!

    MRI is clear
Thanks for your prayers!!! Mom got her MRI results late this afternoon and it was all clear. So- surgeon says just don't worry about that little spot. Easier said than done! I think there is just soooo much stress and anxiety with every bump and test- but another hurdle over with.

Now for follow up CT and colonoscopy in November. I hope Mom can somewhat relax and enjoy life until scanxiety takes over at that time.

I sure appreciate all the thoughts and prayers that went up for my Mom and family.
