OK.......I had my appointment with Dr Charisma-Bypass today. I told him I had stopped taking the tamoxifen as I was scared to death by all the bad publicity.. also the interraction with Zoloft (which at the moment is definitely higher up my wish-list) anyway, he told me that he keeps on top of all this stuff and there is NO PROBLEM that has been proved whatsoever.........So I am to carry on with tha tamoxifen (get tested next year to see if I am thru menopause.. then change to arimidex).. He proved to have a sense of humour at last.... he asked me what the problem was and I gave him the stats......He giggled! I said "Hey, you're not supposed to laugh at me, you should be like 'Doctorly' and I'm depressed so you have to be nice to me..." Oh dear..He tried, he really did. BUT I do feel a lot better about the pills now. So I'll carry on with tamox and zoloft...just doubled my dose of zoloft tonight...fingers crossed eh sistas? (ok...and Joe)..Hugs all Jxxxxxxxxxxxx

Tasha, haven't you read
Tasha, haven't you read about the higher chance of a recurrence with tamox and zoloft? I somehow don't think your oncologist is "on top" of this. Perhaps, you should check with another oncologist, just to be sure. I know your oncologist said what you wanted to hear, but, there is so much actual proof out there to say otherwise. Good luck!0 -

Glad you were able to get your concerns addressed. Keep us posted on how you are doing. I know you haven't been on as much and I miss you! Hugs....♥Pammy
Tasha, are you sure that you should continue on tamox and zoloft? I am very concerned for you. Just don't want anything to happen to you and I am not for sure that your oncologist is "up to date" on how some antidepressants double your chance of a recurrence.
Anyway, good to see you posting! I hope that you are happy!
