I can help you. I was
I can help you. I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer with mets to my liver and bone last July. At the time there were 2 lesions on my liver and 1 lesion on my bone. I was her-2 positive, so I was able to get a drug called Herceptin with my chemotherapy, Taxol. I had 3 month of that combo and my pet scan in October came back clean!!! Can you believe it! Actually, the breast cancer is the primary cancer and the liver cancer is secondary. I have been clean since, I did not need to have surgery on my liver, however, I did have a masectomy. My oncologist is following me very closely now, I go every 4 weeks. Did your doctor tell you what your therapy will be? I am sure you must be so scared at this news, I was. But there are terrific drugs out there. Take care, and let me know how you are doing.0 -

Deb1969 .. Welcome
I am so sorry about your breast cancer, and now 3 areas located on your liver. I just started my chemo, and hear wonderful and amazing Herceptin can cure all. Again, I have only information provided by my onc staff.
Please keep peace and strength.

Thanks to all for your responses. I have an appt with my oncologist tomorrow 9/10. I am from a very small town in North GA and my onc told me at last appt that no doctor in this area could handle liver cancer that I would have to head south and see doctors in Atlanta.Which I am familar with the docs in Atl since my younger brother was diagnosed Jan of this year with two rare brain tumors. Not sure of treatment, she definately said chemo and mentioned Herceptin since my cancer is triple positive Guess Ill find out more details tomorrow, I just want something done, getting tired of all the testing and waiting. Im ready for treatments, surgery whatever it takes to get this out of my body.

Welcome, Deb. I was
Welcome, Deb. I was diagnosed with BC in Feb 08 and had a bilateral mastectomy in April 08. I have a funny spot on my liver that my onc doesn't think is cancer, but I've never had a PET scan, just MRI. I wish you all the best. There are so many good treatments, now. Have faith. xoxoxoxo Lynn0 -
