Just so you know where I will be!
To that end,Reggie and I are leaving tomorrow on a park service boat to set up camp on the island...he will take the park service boat back to the mainland on Friday afternoon to meet with his fellow paddlers and make the voyage on Saturday AM. I will be camping with about 200 Tribal members/friends from Thursday until Sunday evening.
I will be out of cell/computer service for the entire time~ therefore I will not be checking in with you until Monday morning. I just want you all to know! I am sooo not ignoring any of you! I will check back in with you all as soon as I can!
Hugs,
Chen♥

Hey Claudia ☻
Thanks for letting us know Claudia! That sounds really cool! And, I would have thought for sure that you were ignoring me and that would have p****ed me off. lol Ok, I just censored myself. Anyway, have a great time and see you next week!

Have a great time, Chen.RE said::-)
Thanks for the heads up so we know you are okay. Sounds like a great way to spend several days, my best to you and Reggie.
Hugs,

Have a great time, Chen. These events are so spiritual, and definitely put one's mind in a peaceful place. Haven't shared this before, but my father was a full blood Chactaw/Cherokee, and my mother was half Apache. We have had many a good time during my early life sharing the wonders of nature, and interacting with both tribal groups at various functions. Unfortunately for me, the other half on my mother's side was Irish, so we didn't participate so much with the Apache tribe. I did make up for it, as in 2000 my husband and I moved to Ruidoso, NM, adjacent to the Mescalaro Apache Tribal land, and I was able to join in many of their functions over the next eight years. Have a great weekend, and give us a recount on Monday. Hugs,

I know that you
Judy,
I know that you especially can appreciate the "homecoming" I am participating in this weekend. The spiritual side is amazing...
We have an Apache friend, the wife of one of the paddlers from Reggie's Tribe ( Chumash from the Coast of California) and she now calls herself a "Coastal Apache!" LOL
My father lived as a young man for years in Pecos New Mexico, and was a friend to and of many of the Acoma Tribe.
I think you will also appreciate this tidbit~with me being 100% NON Native. At the prayer circle one morning on the island, I was the last to speak. I mentioned being honored and humbled to be welcomed into the circle, being that I am not Of the Tribe, but With the Tribe. Later that morning, one of the old women pulled me aside and said I was indeed OF~ as without a bond and a connection, there can be no healing....that has stayed with me for years. I truly love that sentiment.

Wow Claudia
that is really neat! You'll have to tell us all about it when you get back!0 -
What a wonderful and peaceful trip .. to be part history caring
on with traditions. I truly hope your husband enjoy every single moment, from dawn to dust. I am so excited about the dolphins who accompany the paddlers on their voyage.
Take care and take lots of photo's.
Just as a side note: I have an appointment with acs - make up clinic on 10/13.. I am also joining their breast cancer 8 week women's program here locally. Thanks for the information and push. Lord knows, I love my make up.
