VickiSam, Taleena, and all those who started treatment today
This was day one, for some it will be harder then others, that however does not make the road any easier to walk. Yesterday and the days before you were perparing for battle, today you started your war. Today and every day to come you are a hero. You stand against the beast and give it all you have. You have been given the best weapons to fight with. You have many warriors that are supporting you, and giving you all they can to make the battle easier for you. You will face days where you will feel as if you can not go on, but you will. There will come a day where you will brag about you battle scars, you will tell the story of your war, and your eyes will shine with pride of a true vetren.
You will find, as you have perhaps already that your life has changed. You will have a new accreciation (sp) of little things that maybe you did not or have not noticed in a very long time. You will find joy in little things that you forgot gives you that unique joy that is only yours, be it the sound of childrens laughter while playing outside, or the smell of a favorit meal you have not had in a long time, whatever it is. Little things will mean so much more, and the big things well you know how it goes.
So battle or brave warrior, today is the first day and the end is finally in site. Yes belive it or not it is.
Your fellow warriors stand tall and ready to help you in any way they can. This is not a battle you fight alone. Your body may be the battle ground. You however direct the fight. The beast will be beaten. You will over come. Life will go on. Not as it was before, but better.
Great love and respect to you

Thanks for the encouragement and battle plan. We are warriors, fighting for our lives. We also have such wonderful, caring women who walk this journey with us. This makes our fight bearable.
I am so thankful for the shield of protection provided by you and many others. Breast cancer is angonizing, cruel, torturous, and extremely intense.
I will treasure each and every posting for all, and play it forward.
Thank you for thinking of Taleena and myself today.
