Bonnie for the reminder. Would love to read your article that was published. Can I find it on the internet?

In July, I ordered teal nail polish from Ebay and have been wearing it since.
I plan to wear it until my mom feels better.0 -
Can we see it?
Hi Bonnie,
I think that if you shared the text from your letter with us, it would give us a great base to use to send to our newspapers!

I joined the Teal Toes group on the internet, and have some teal polish that I got at Wal-Mart for under a dollar. I haven't checked the color on yet, so it might not be "right", but I do plan to wear it when I go in for surgery. I was surprised to see that nail polish is acceptable on the check list, but I'm going for it!0 -
September
Bonnie,
Our Ladies Fellowship has a luncheon each month beginning in September thru May. Since this month is Ovarian Awareness month they have asked me to speak and give my testimony!
I am excited to have that opportunity to witness and also to raise awareness. The NOCC has sent me free literature to share and teal bracelets to pass out for those who want them.
I will start a new update after I catch up on all the discussions I have missed.

I joined Teal Toes too. Unfortunately I need to wear regular shoes where I work, so no one can see my toes. My fingernails are bright teal for the month though! Wal-Marts around here carry a few different brands, even some of the quick dry ones (I don't have patience for the long dry stuff). I've gotten many comments and compliments on it so far!

Missouri Jaycees Whisper Ride for Ovarian Cancer
I posted this somewhere else, but I will say it again. Sorry about repeating myself. The Missouri Jaycees started a new project this year, called the Whisper Ride, because ovarian cancer is silent. The team rode bicycles across the state this last week from Boonville to St. Louis. Where they stopped there were rallies held. This wasn't necessarily a fund raiser as much as it was to raise awareness. Any money raised will go to the Ovarian Cancer Foundation. We hope to have an even bigger event next year, as the Jaycees love challenges!0 -

Our company has "denim days" where you contribute any amount and wear jeans. The office votes on who to donate to and this month we raised $600 and sent over to MD Anderson/Ovarian cancer research!! I'm so proud of my company0 -

I know there isn't alot out there, that is why it is so important that survivors grab the reins. I have it published in several papers here and women at church all thank me for doing this each year. I send stuff to business to see if they well put them on the bulletin board in there lunch room or lobby. We can make a difference, maybe each of us is just a small pebble but the ripple effect can be bigger than we could imagine.
Here is the link for the article of president bush declaring Sept as Nat'l Ovarian Month.

I posted a message onto my facebook, with the teal ribbon and a message about the teal nails.
A CNA that helped out my mom while she was in the hospital (the CNA is around my age) and I are friends on facebook. She painted her nails teal in honor of the month also! It made me really happy. We all need to give awareness to those that are unaware of this cancer!!0
