Hi ReddieReddie said:I'm here!!
I'm at the hospital due to stomach problems that caused one of the chemo side effect. When I had first Chemo on June 26th then a week later my hemoglobin dropped and I had bad stomach ache so I went to the hospital and they found that my intestine got inflamed and my colon got infection. They had to give me antibotics and blood transfusion. It was not pleasant experience so it took me a long time to recover. I was suppose to have second chemo treatment but the doctors don't feel that I'm ready so they had to postponed. I called the doctor last Monday that I was having fevers and mild stomach pain and diahhrea like. Good thing they tested on me with blood works, blood culture, BM and urine testing before I have second chemo last Friday (August 7th). They wanted to have me to take cat scan first but somehow they found that I have abscess and infection in my intestine so I had to stay in hospital for several days. They had to put drainage from the abscess and antibotics. I'm feeling much better than before. Thanks for thinking about me! Reddie
So glad you are on your way to recovery. I am so sorry for all you have been through. Your picture of you and your sweetie is GREAT. Hang in there and remember you are thought of a lot and wishing for good health to come your way!! Take care!

Diane,
You made me laugh about setting up the celebration at the back with the rowdy group. It makes me feel better that you're still there supporting me even thou I'm not always on discussion board. This summer has be hectic but all of you guys still makes my day.
Let you guys know that I will be going back to work tomorrow as a teacher for 5th and 6th graders so hopefully I don't get too tired! LOL...
The doctors told me that I will not have any more chemotherapy and maybe no radiation. They said that they rather for me to recover from stomach infection which I'm still taking IV antibiotics (one month)at home. I'm still feeling so much better which I am able to do alot of things. PTL and hugs to all! Reddie0 -
I hope you are ready to go back to teaching. I hope your kids are healthy, so you don't catch anything from them. On antibiotics for a month, Wow. I hope that takes care of your stomach infection. I know I had loose stools and frequent stools when I was on the antibiotics for two weeks. Hope you have a bathroom close to your classroom. Wishing you the best as you continue to recover. Thanks for keeping us updated. In peace and caring. HUGS to you.Reddie said:Celebration

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Good luck going back to work. I hope you don't get to tired. You must be excited about being finished with chemo. Every day you will get stronger. May God bless you as you heal.

Reddie I hope the first week went well for you and you did not get too tired. At least this week you had Labor Day off. Wishing you well with everything. You remain in my prayers. Hope the infection is clearing up.Reddie said:Celebration

My first day of school with students wasn't that bad. The kids are pretty much mature than I thought. I guess they are ready to be 5th graders and we've taught them rules pretty good so they can't make any excuses. LOL...I've plenty of support with my team. I have two other team (5th/6th grade teachers) that we work together on the first week then next week we will do the rotation for different subjects. I will be teaching ELA (English Language Art) and Social Studies this year.
If I'm sick or anything then I have my aide to cover for me if something happens but so far I'm pretty much back to my own self. I'm still waiting to hear the results of my stomach/intestine if there's any bacteria left or not. I have about one week left to go to use the antibiotics. take care to all, Reddie0 -

Hi Patricia,
I'm speechless about your offering for my wedding plans. I'm really touch by your support and ideas for my wedding. I'm not sure if you're aware that I will be getting married in California at Central Coast (San Luis Obispo)on August 21, 2010. I might need some help with arrangements but I'm not sure where to start. Right now I'm trying to find the right place to reserve the place for the ceremony. I'm surprised that you know a lot of people who have "skills" to those things. You are loved by many friends!
