medical marijuana, Has it help anybody on here?

absolutely
My pain management doctor suggested it. He explained why it worked so well and how fast it works. I checked with all my Oncologists and the chemo clinic nurses and they were all very supportive. I had all the heavy hitter anti nausea drugs including Emend. The only one that worked immediately was the marujuana. If anyone has any questions about it please feel free to ask.
Blessings to you all,

How do you get it?
How do you go about getting it? I've definitely had problems with nausea in spite of what they gave me and threw up after chemo the last two times.
My dilemma with trying to get the med. marijuana is that my 16 yr old son had been smoking it a while back & it was a huge issue in our household. He supposedly doesn't do it anymore. I really don't want to smoke it because I don't like to smoke and I don't like the smell of it- even if I legally had it for medical reasons, I don't want to have it around where anyone else could smell it- my kids or my neighbors, etc. What are the other ways it can be be legally taken for nausea and what am I allowed to do with it legally if I were to get if for medical reasons? (meaning does it come in different forms, or just as the buds?)
I'm quite curious about if it really would help the nausea & would like to try it but, as I said, I don't want to smoke it- mainly because of my kids- Can it be ingested in pill form or baked in food? Or- as someone mentioned- made into a tea? How much do you use for the tea?

As far as getting medical marijuana, it depends what state you like in. Believe it or not, too many states do not offer it to people in our situation. I think there are only around 10 or so that do. It can be ingested by baking it into brownies. Someone on this site had a recipe a while back, I don't recall who. I never ate it but I hear it's just as effective. I understand your dilemma with your son. I have been having talks with my oldest (almost 16) about that and other drugs and we've had things come up with my nephew so it's hard to say one thing, and do another. It's generally not good parenting (IMO) but you are in different circumstances. I wouldn't give a rat's you-know-what about the neighbors. If they had cancer and puked their guts out for a few days at a time, I think they would have a different opinion. The same goes for the people how create these laws against people like us for having legal access to it.
I hope things work out for you, it REALLY helps so much Lisa. You will be surprised

I think that it's legal in 12 states. Here in California I paid $150 for my MM card. I had to bring all my paperwork in and show to a Dr who then issued me a card. Then from time to time I go to a MM store and pick up some "Bud" and some I can eat like candy and brownies. I freeze at the very bottom of my freezer under a bunch of meat and lock up my bud in a file safe I bought at Walmart. But I have found that smoking is better because who wants to eat when you're throwing up??? I know what you mean with having kids in the house. I have a son 15 and a daughter 12. But with school all day and them hanging with friends it has not been a issue. Then again I only smoke it about twice a day. The hell with the neighbors they probley smoke it too. Try to work past the issue of it being a DURG and look at for what you are going to use it. As a medicine. It has really helped me 100%... Feel free to email me and I'll help you out in anyway I can0 -

Hi Lisa,
I used marijuana for nausea. It works immediatley if you smoke it. All I had to do was take one or to hits(puffs) and it stopped the nausea immediatley. You don't have to smoke very much so the smell really isn't that noticable. As far as eating it - it would take longer to work opposed to smoking it and getting immediate relief. I understand your concern about your son but if you want to explain that its a RX for you. You would never give him your other prescription medication. I took it with me where ever I went and would go out to the car and use it. It can be done very discretly. I used a glass pipe. I know they also have vaporizers but they are expensive. When you get your prescription you also get a card you carry with you that shows that it is medical marijuana. I never ate it because I was so sick that I couldn't. Maybe someone else can help you with recipes.
What state are you in? I sure hope you're able to use it. It made such a difference for me. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. I don't know how to use the PM but if you need privacy I'll learn. I'll be praying for you.
Blessings to you,
