In The Hospital

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to update you....

I went to our local hospital late Saturday evening thinking that my belly just needed tapped, after having it scanned, turns out I don't have fluid buildup, but I have a colon blockage that has caused my bowel to become distended, hence why I am having stomach cramping, etc. The local hospital sent me to Mayo, where I am now in the hospital waiting for a ct and a colonoscopy to find out if there's a tumor blocking it or if there's a stricture or adhesions. I don't yet know if I need surgery or anything, but will do my best at keeping you guys updated. Send some prayers my way! :0)

    I also just posted something about you, I was working and Jeff came to tell me the news I am just devasted, I knew something was wrong when you hadn't been talking, to us, Please know Jeff and I are praying right now. I am glad you found it though, I will certainly pray I am going to think postive that there is no tumor blocking your colon, and its just adhesions, we all need some good news right now!!!!!!!!!! I am just numb and I am sure your family is too. Stay strong for us!!!!!! and know we all love you.

    So sorry to hear you are in the hospital and not feeling well. We are sending extra prayers your way. We pray it is "just" adhesions and not anything else. God Bless you and your family.

    I'm sorry to here your in there..Did they say what caused the blockage? I wonder if its from that nast CPT11, Remember Erikas dad had the same thing.

    Hey everyone!!!

    Thanks for all your words of encouragement, I love your note William, means the world to me, thanks. Lori, I've written back to you on Facebook as well. and, to all of you, thank you for all your prayers! So far I've had abdominal films taken so they can take more tomorrow and compare the dilation of my colon. I'm awaiting a colonoscopy yet this evening. I'm thirsty!! Can't wait to get that procedure over with so I can have something to drink. Thanks again for everything!

    We may never meet but to me you are my online daughter and closes friend on this site. You mean so much to me as my daughters do. Know Jeff and I are praying every minute for you.     Hi Cathy,
    Sorry that you had to go in but hoping they can get your stomach down, I was sad when I read your post about your abdomen being so tight. Hoping they find out there is a simple solution, it is bad enough with all that you have gone thru now to have a blockage. I will be praying for you and hoping the drs get this resolved. take care,

    Kitten, I'm so sorry to hear you are in the hospital!!! I hope they can figure this out quickly and that it's not a tumor!!! My dad was diagnosed with Ileus, it's basically a blockage that paralyzed the muscle that controlled the bowels. They didn't do a colonscopy on him, so it sounds like you are having a different problem. Anyway, my prayers are with you. I'll be thinking about you and your family and saying extra prayers for you!!
