Could each of you write the area or the town, and state you live in so we can get a feel for how spread out or close we are to one another? Would be a real shame if some of us live in the same town and don't know it.
Some of you have added your stage. GREAT IDEA! The year and month you were first diagnosed, if this is a recurrence, can help give others a heads up as to the seriosness of the situation, and to really encourage them to do as much as they can, in addition to their doctors' treatments, to stave off a recurrence.
Me--Stage, ah, well could be Stage lA or lllC as the doctor didn't do complete staging. This is NOT a recurrence for me but, I was first diagnosed February 27, 2008. Only treatments have been in the form of alternative therapies, both nutritional and lifestyle. Will be adding others such as visualization and other mind/body approaches in the coming year. Will continue these for the rest of my life.
Currently, Menominee, Michigan. Just across the river from Marinette, Wisconsin. First 18 years, Long Island and NYC. Then nearly forty years in California both north and south of San Francisco at varying periods, with a short stint in Pascagoula, Miss, Leesburg and Reston, VA.
Mostly I miss NYC.
ADDED cHRISTMAS MORNING 2009:
A welcome to newer members to help us get to know each other better.
You can also review this thread to see a bit of what other people's experiences have been. For more thorough information regarding that, see the Roll Call thread.
Welcome and sorry this is how we are meeting.
May the coming year bring back joy to your minds and health to your bodies and the strength of heart to fight this diagnosis, to you in their fullest,
Claudia

Love your art, too!
If you don't mind, would you be able to put your current stage and the stage you were diagnosed with first.
And thank you so much for the kind words of the art work.
Love,

I don't know where Dana Farber is, would you be able to put in a city and state so our map will be fairly accurate.

There seem to be an awful lot of Stage lV replys. I wish I knew why that was. Could you tell me where your initial thread is or have you not found it yet?
Thanks for the infor on the city. I was just there in June and July of this year. Used to live in San Jose and on a horse ranch near the freeway in Castro Valley. Is that 680.
I miss California more than I can ever say.
What hospital are you going to for treatment? Do you like it?
Love,
Claudia
Is this a recurrence for you or a first time diagnosis?0
