Oh, by the way, my husband Charley is T3N1MO.

You are so right about 'faith'. We have put our trust and faith in God and He will decide what is best for Charley. I'm so glad to hear that you are doing so well now. This gives us more strength and courage to 'face' this knowing how well you are doing. In Bakersfield, CA, at the cancer center, they have what is called the 'Cyber knife'. It is a radiation machine that targets strictly the cancer and not anywhere else in the body. I sure hope it doesn't harm anything else in his body when he gets radiation. I am also concerned about 'swelling' of the esophagus after radiation and that he won't be able to eat. Did you have this problem? If so, how long did it last? Did you have to get a feeding tube?
Thanks for writing and also for 'staying' by all of us who are going through this. You and your wife are a blessing to us here on the discussion board!
Thank you,

Shelly,
It's nice to see you posting again. I am sorry about the disappointing news, but William is right, God many times has a much larger plan and you are being guided in such a way. I went through 5 weeks of radiation and had minimal side effects, I was just very tired. I was able to eat fine throughout the treatments. I wish you and Charley the best.

Hi Shelly
I too am a believe in God changing plans for you. Thing happen in his time not in the time that you want. Al hasn't had any radiation yet, but the Doc said it may be a possibility after the surgery.
If Charlie's Doc thinks that it can't hurt then go for it.
Good Luck!
May God Bless You Both
