    My thoughts are with you...
    Sherri,

My thoughts are with you today as you go through the staging process. I know it's a whirlwind of a process and it feels hard to keep your head above water at times, but you can do this. I was 23 when I was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer, I now have a reoccurrence and am battling it again. I went through 5 weeks of radiation for my esophageal cancer and had minimal problems with it, some nausea and I was very fatigued. I hope all goes well today. Vent, and talk here any time.

my love has cancer of the larynex
my love has stage 3 cancer of the voice box. i knew he had esphogeal cancer, just he never told me where the cancer was. until yesterday, when we were talking and he said it was in his vocal chords and that surgery would mean removing his voice box, he is so private and so strong. he continues to work even when the chemo is raging in his joints. he said it hurts in every joint. it took him 30 minutes to get his leg out of bed, my heart is so heavy with worry. He is an amazing man and has been on oral chemo and radiation since dx in jan 09. i read that the survival rate is much higher for this type of cancer, which i take great comfort in. i am lost until i hear his voice or see him. he is my heart...he always says "we fill in each other's gaps" and he lives by the motto 'never never give up". kitten says it best, it's not waiting for the storm to pass, it is learning to dance in the rain. we are dancing and living each day to the fullest. that is all we can do.
