The ongoing travel update...lol!
The sun doesn't stay up as long anymore, and the nights have a chill to them. I truly am envious of you all that get to see the seasons change...this is SO dramatic! In California, we have very hot, sortof hot, and warm. Our Winter days are clear (mostly), and to get to snow, we much drive an hour to the mountains. But, I know I am blessed. With good health, 2 places to call home, and all of you 'extended family', as well as everyone here and in America.
I sometimes feel a bit guilty, knowing what you are going thru now, but then, remember, I went thru it, too. It DOES get better!!!!
Hugs, Kathi

Typical dutch lighting...from the side...a dutch painting!!!trainer said:Good to hear from you and nice photos
Hi, nice to see you on the board again. That's a great photo of you, nice lighting. Appreciated your photos too. How is your beau?
ROFL!
Thanks for asking about Hans, dearheart! He is ever so much better!!!! It begs the question 'should we have selected the pacemaker earlier?' but, hindsight is always 20/20!
We bike, on the average, an hour each day. We walk thru amazing town centers, from the 12th and 13th centuries, and he is many times outwalking me!!! We are enjoying every minute, knowing that things CAN and DO change...lol!
How are things with you? Is it hot where you are? It's in the 100's in Redlands!!! Glad to be here...temp is in the low 70's and mostly blue skies.

Glad to hear you and Hans are doing so well, you are both inspirations to me, you been through so much, and where you come from sounds just as beautiful, the netherlands, right? I love the 70's weather, I wish it would stay like that all year round, to me, that's the perfect temperature, and blue skies are just as well with it!
Hope all keeps going well with you and Hans, you are both still in my prayers, and hope that weather keeps being lovely!
Hugsss!

how long?
Hi Kathi,
How long are in going to be in the Netherlands? I've been to Amsterdam once, so I can picture you riding your bike (as you mentioned you and Hans bike about an hour a day). It seemed that everyone there were on bicycles!
You mentioned "it's in the 100's in Redlands"- so I'm assuming that's where you live in California. I know someone from Redlands too- an older couple, friends of my in-laws. I'm about an hour and fifteen minutes from Redlands in Fallbrook. It was literally 105 here yesterday. We're supposed to get a bit of a break in the heat wave starting today. It's 9:50 a.m. right now & the temp. in my backyard is just at 84. That's a good sign since it was close to 100 by this time the past few days.
Take care and enjoy! (and yes, it is also an honor to know Serrana, as you mentioned in the other post about her. We finally met in person a few weeks ago for the first time).
Blessings,

My Dad was born in the Netherlands
Hi Kathy and nice to meet you. Nice to hear talk of the Netherlands. My Dad was from the Hague. He met my mother at a seaman's club-he was a merchant marine) in Boston when he was in his late 20's and they married in Vancouver shortly after. I went to the Netherlands only once, when I was in college in '71, and that was to visit relatives.
all the best, Leslie0
